Corrections & Updates

Tail & Paw publishes vet-verified guidance, and accuracy is not optional. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. This page explains how corrections work and logs every material change to published content.

How we handle corrections

1. Report. Anyone can flag an error by emailing hello@tailandpaw.net with the page URL and what looks wrong. Every report is read by our veterinary advisor.
2. Verify. We check the claim against current veterinary consensus and primary sources (AAHA, AVMA, peer-reviewed literature) before changing anything.
3. Fix. If the claim is wrong or outdated, the guide is corrected and the "last updated" date on the page moves.
4. Log. Material corrections are listed in the log below with the date and a plain-language note on what changed.

Correction vs. routine update

• Correction — a published fact, dosage context, or recommendation was wrong or misleading. Corrected immediately and logged here.
• Routine update — the guideline landscape changed or we improved clarity, but nothing published was wrong. The page's "last updated" date moves; the log notes significant ones.
• Unchanged — if our review confirms the published content is accurate, we leave it as-is and tell the reader who reported it.
